Don’t Know About RSS?

RSS feed readers offer one of the most efficient ways to follow news, web site and software updates, newsletters, blogs and more. Once you have a reader simply enter the feed URL for your favorite blogs and you will be able to see what they are posting without having to visit the blog.

How To Receive & Read RSS feeds.

Feedreaders can be installed on your computer or are web based. One of the most popular is Bloglines.

Google also has a web based reader. I like the Google reader best. Find it here: Google Feed Reader

Web based readers mean you can keep up with the news from your favorite sites wherever you are. You usually see an icon in the site’s sidebar which says “rss” or “xml” or it might just show an orange square like this: 

 If there is an orange square in you browser’s address bar you know a feed is available. Just click on the image and it will take you to your reader, once you have chosen one, so that you can save the feed for that blog.

So first choose a feed reader:

Then save the feed url. Now you can have a quick summary of all your favorite blogs without leaving your own pages.
