Results From Feeding Cat New Diet
I just want to let you know what has happened as a result of changing my 6 year old cat, Alfie, to a new healthier diet. I am really quite excited about the results because I never expected anything measurable from it. I started feeding him on a raw food diet about three months ago. the recipe I used includes a supplement called Mybeau. It is described on their web site like this:

This is mixed into his food every day. I talked about the raw food recipe here: cat food recipe.
Well, he has always had dandruff and as he is black the flakes show up. I was sure there must be some reason for this and had been to the vet and searched online for an answer- but none was forthcoming. I was feeding him on a recommended dry food called Nutra. It is good as it is made without any byproducts or other rubbish and I still use it a little as it gives his teeth some good chewing. Anyway since being mainly on his raw food diet the dandruff has completely disappeared. I think it is the omega oil supplement that has cured it. He must have had dry skin.
There have been other good results and one is that he is less hungry. He only asks for food once a day instead of twice. So I believe that this means his body is getting the right food and doesn’t need so much to keep him satisfied. Amazing really and unexpected.
I have got into a routine of making up his food every twoo weeks and storing it in little pots in my freezer. It is so easy. I use a George Foreman grinder and add raw chicken with bones ground into it for calcium and I add heart and other meats such as rabbit and venison from the pet butcher or the supermarket.
Please post if you have any comments to add on this topic. I love to hear from you. ( And if you add links to your web site they will be indexed)
